And like so many generations before, these teenagers are eager to make their mark and help shape the future of our hometown.

On the eve of our 100th anniversary, Beaumont can take great pride in the up-and-coming generation known as the Millennials.

They believe in their city and public service and are making their voices heard through the Beaumont Youth Advisory Council, which began meeting in January. It was created by the City Council to bring more young people into civic life.
